It started in 2009 when we moved to Mallorca to live and work. From “Cards Secs Piquen Cards Verds Taquen” we organize different activities related to art and creativity such as cooking classes, theater classes, concerts, installation, design workshops, etc.
We are located in Santanyi, in the south east of Mallorca, Spain.
We thought it was an opportunity to bring interesting artists and projects to Mallorca. Mallorca is an island of peace and tranquility, because of the weather and the wonderful beaches it is a popular destination for tourists. But we would like to show people a different side to the island and it is a good opportunity to connect local artists with people from other places.
The idea of traveling has change during the last century, now we move faster and more easily around the world, but in doing so we miss out on experiencing real life in the locations we visit. I believe the best way to get involved in local life, is to be with someone that is from there. I was born and grew up in Santanyi and as such have the knowledge to offer different experiences and insights of the island.
The Workshops and Residence of “Cards Secs Piquen Cards Verds Taquen” creates a new way to holiday, enabling people to connect and mix with likeminded people, and to learn and experience techniques and methods from other artists.
