The painter Jorge Diezma is the first artist to begin the Workshops. During the last few years he has dedicated his work to the classic themes of the painting: lifestile, landscapes, portraits and animals. His primary medium is in oil and he is a sought-after lecturer as well as speaker. He likes to teach informally with a hands on approach in the field. His knowledge and creativity will give you the encouragement needed to inspire you to start your painting. As he says “Don’t forget the walk to the painting, is a good way to get a feel of the landscape”.
“Walking and painting . . . this is what this course is all about, to go for a little walk in search of a spot you like, get in front of it and paint it. Our aim is to make it possible for anyone to feel able to enjoy painting without any previous knowledge, and at the same time to enjoy the walk and the search. To go looking for a painting is like going looking for mushrooms, it gives you a goal when getting into the landscape, and then it’s very much about looking. What we are going to provide is the materials and a few easy instructions to get started, because usually that’s the toughest thing: to start. Once that is done, let's enjoy painting!”

You will get a chance to spend time with your instructor and get to know them outside of the workshop. We will have meals together as a group either outside or around the dining room table in the house Na Parra. All the meals are home cooked, if you have any specific requirements we will endeavor to accommodate them.
